Sources and updates
Prices come from official public sources: MITECO (Spain), DGEG (Portugal), prix-carburants.gouv.fr (France), MIMIT (Italy) and E-Control (Austria).
Every result shows when it was updated. If a source is unavailable, we may temporarily use the latest copy and mark it as stale. The price displayed at the station always takes precedence.
We select the lowest-priced 25% among the results available from the official source within the chosen radius. At least three are shown when available, together with the local average and estimated saving per litre. E-Control limits its response to ten stations.
98-octane petrol is unavailable in Italy and Austria because their public sources do not separate it from standard petrol.
